Today we do not dance in celebration of what is happening in our country
We dance for what is free within and among us
We dance for what can be, what shall be, what is always true and beautiful
Let us fiercely celebrate love within us
This is the revolution
I second your sentiment.
it was one of Eddie's podcasts where I learned about an accidental activist in Zimbabwe who started a revolution where common everyday people reclaimed the power of their flag. He filmed a youtube video for his small church community, and in it he draped the flag around his shoulders as he spoke passionately about what was happening in his country. He posted it and it went viral. People started wearing the flag as a reclamation of what they believed the country should be, not what it had become. It really stuck with me.
